Fastrack to Flooring

WD Aquatect has been specifically developed to allow fast track installation of resin floor coatings, screeds and even soft flooring.

WD Aquatect primer can be applied to floors with a moisture content up to 95% Relative Humidity (RH), drastically reducing the lead time for application of surface finishes on to new concrete.

The product acts as a surface moisture suppressant combining excellent surface adhesion properties with a high tolerance to moisture. It has been independently tested by the Building Research Establishment (BRE) to BS EN1504 Part-2 2004.

Contracts Director for Conren, Nick Jones, explained the process involved; “We firstly carry out a moisture survey on the floor to establish the RH in the concrete, the results of which determine whether one or two coats of WD Aquatect are required. The floor is then mechanically prepared and the product is applied by roller. The use of this system enables us to install the final floor finish at the earliest opportunity and is particularly beneficial for today’s fast track building programmes”.
