Emergency Flooring!

Conren has recently completed a major floor refurbishment for an ambulance station in Old Colwyn, North Wales.

Working for the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust, Conren were required to break out an old damaged tiled floor and lay a new heavy duty ‘Tufcon 80’ polymer screed incorporating a drainage gulley.

To provide a heavy duty anti-slip finish, a 4mm Levelay HDT epoxy floor screed was then installed and completed with demarcation lines.

The ambulance station provides a vital emergency response service for the local area and, to ensure there was no disruption, all the work was carried out in phases to allow the station to remain fully operational at all times.

Gordon Roberts, Locality Ambulance Officer for Conwy and Denbighshire oversaw Conren’s work “With Conren`s cooperation we were able to retain our Emergency response from the station throughout with disruption kept to a minimum. Pre meetings between the contractors and representatives based at the Ambulance Station ensured the smooth and efficient running of our EMS function and the staff from Conren worked extensively to ensure the contract was completed to schedule”.
